Blackett Homes Named Finalists in 2025 MBA ACT Awards
At Blackett Homes, every project we undertake is built on a foundation of thoughtful design, exceptional workmanship, and deep respect for the people we’re building for. We’re proud to share that this commitment has once again been recognised, with three of our recent projects named as finalists across five categories in the 2025 Master Builders ACT and Asset Construction Hire Excellence Awards.
It’s an incredible honour to be recognised among Canberra’s best builders, and we’re delighted to showcase the projects that brought us here.
Maison Verte
Finalist: Custom Built/Project Home $2 million to $4 million
Finalist: Bathroom Project less than $50,000
Finalist: Kitchen Project less than $50,000
Situated in one of Canberra’s most sought-after suburbs in Turner, the Maison Verte is a celebration of refined modern living. From its bold architectural form to its serene internal spaces, every element of this custom home was considered with care.
The kitchen and bathroom, both finalists in their own right, demonstrate our attention to fine detail and finishes. The kitchen is a seamless blend of functionality and beauty, with streamlined cabinetry, premium stonework, and integrated appliances. The bathroom continues this language of sophistication, offering a tranquil, spa-like escape with bespoke joinery and warm textural finishes.
Maison Sorella
Finalist: Custom Built/Project Home $1 million to $2 million
A statement in considered design, the Maison Sorella is a two-storey residence that blends bold features with enduring sophistication.
Anchored by warm timber and layered textures, this residence blends contemporary design with enduring quality. It’s a home that balances luxury with liveability, designed to evolve with its owners and showcase the craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail that defines every Blackett Homes build.
Taylor Project
Finalist: Special Purpose/Adaptable Dwelling
Thoughtful, future-focused design is at the heart of the Taylor Project, an adaptable dwelling created to support changing needs over time. Designed with accessibility in mind, the home meets a range of functional requirements without compromising on comfort or aesthetic appeal.
To be named as a finalist in five separate categories is not only a proud moment for our team, but also a reflection of what drives us every day: delivering homes that are crafted with integrity, designed for real living, and built to last.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients, collaborators, and trades who helped bring these homes to life. We can’t wait to see if we take home a win at the MBA ACT Awards later this year.
